Lucy Stopford
Lucy Stopford, BA Leeds Fine Art, Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Contemporary British Portrait Painters and former Chair of the Oxford Art Society, has run workshops for over 15 years in both Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. Working exclusively from the model in oils, charcoal and clay, Lucy is interested in recording the process of working directly from life in materials which capture the energy of exploration by leaving traces of repeated enquiry in the mark making.
She exhibits regularly in London with the Federation of British Artists and the CBPP and has shown work with the BP Portrait Award in the National Portrait Gallery and the Scottish National Portrait Gallery.
