A two-day workshop exploring expressive drawing and an exuberant, joyous use of oil paint in the style of Vincent Van Gogh. We will be walking in Vincent's footsteps by making large-scale, loose, gestural drawings in ink. Then, with oil paint, we will find Vincent's vibrant colour palette and work with our own confident marks to finish an original landscape or still life painting. This is a course that will suit those who have worked with oil paints before, but if you are new to oil painting, there will be plenty of guidance from the tutor about materials and process, and Laura is happy to be contacted beforehand via the school office.
