Suitable for all levels including beginners, this two-day portrait course will be using a life model. The aim of the course is to examine the ways of describing the features most vital in achieving likeness in the finished work.

Students will build a scale model of a head using clay and an armature technique. The course will outline the methods that make the greatest impact in sculpting eyes, nose and mouth which will then be combined with the armature.

By concentrating on these three key features the course will enhance the students ability to describe likeness in sculpture. And using this understanding of the fundamental elements of sculpting likeness, students will discover new strengths and opportunities.

Price includes clay and firing and tea/coffees. Bring a packed lunch with you. Parking is available on site, on the street and at the Village Hall.
