SCOTTISH COSTUME with Neil Drury

Enjoy the opportunity to paint the portrait of Sunningwell model, Peter – in Full Scottish National Costume and Regalia. This will include a tartan kilt, tam o’shanter, formal jacket, leggings and skean dhu, presenting an altogether splendid challenge to any portraitist – rich colours, textured and shaped fabrics, and exciting and dramatic forms. An appropriate setting will also be provided. The workshop be more suited to experienced portraitists, and will look at historical treatments of so called ‘swagger ‘portraits, with some exercises regarding the formal aspects of constructing such artworks.We will provide some Scottish music and confectionary to enhance the Hibernian atmosphere, and I look forward to seeing you at what will be a memorable and happy event.

Suitable for those with some experience. Please bring with you the medium you wish to work in.
