I work in varied styles but have one goal – the exploration of the boundaries between the figurative and the abstract. I can be inspired by the natural environment, political themes or philosophical concepts. Given my background as a scenic artist, I like to experiment with a range of materials and will allow a painting to divert from my original concept and be led by the media. The resulting journey can be a roller coaster but I try to let it take its course, however tortuous.
