Claire Venables
Claire has exhibited at the Mall Galleries with the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and the New English Art Club. She has regular exhibitions in London and Oxfordshire where she is a committee member of the Oxford Art Society. Her work is held in international and UK private collections.
Claire is fascinated by the relationship between people and the objects they surround themselves with, and how three-dimensional objects can still reveal their inner meanings while being described two-dimensionally. Her teaching emphasises the importance of learning how to see, along with acquiring the fundamentals of drawing and painting with a heavy focus on understanding colour.
