Over this two day course students will discover a process to sculpt hands and feet using clay, which will then be fired in our kiln.

Using a life model, the first day will focus entirely on how to see the hand, and how best to describe a hand in three dimensions. During the second day the focus will switch to feet, and students will observe how the same system will allow them to sculpt accurately a foot in any position.

The simple process will enhance both the importance of including hands and feet in sculpture, and students confidence to make use of this inclusion.

Refreshments are provided at break times. Please bring a packed lunch with you. Parking is available in the school car park, on the street or at the village hall nearby.
