In this workshop we are going to discuss the work of The Impressionists, adopting the principle of optical mixing through pointillism to create an Impressionist-style painting from a still life. All levels welcome, including beginners.

First, we will map out our composition on the canvas and make an underpainting for guidance, color:black then we will apply the paint in a loose, colourful; dynamic way in the style of the Impressionists. Focusing on colour mixing & brushwork, we will be aiming to capture the subjective, fleeting impression of the scene rather than a precise, detailed representation.
