Paint in an atmospheric summer landscape using watercolours. This one-day workshop will feature painting en plein air at Radley Lakes with plenty of practical help, advice and tutor demonstrations. Susan will guide you through colour choices, descriptive brushwork and how to simplify the scene in front of you while demonstrating new and exciting techniques to get you inspired. This fun and instructive course is suitable for all levels and will encourage your own personal interpretation of the quintessential summer landscape.
Materials List
Watercolour paints, tubes or paint box
A range of brushes from round size 10 or 8 to smaller size 6 and 3. A bigger brush, size 0 or 2 is also recommended. Watercolour paper either on a block or pad
A water pot
Watercolour pencils if you have them
Lead pencil, eraser
Paper towels
A canvas/fold up chair
What else to bring
Parking is available on site, in the overflow car park, on the road and at the Village Hall. Susan will meet you at the school and then she will lead the convoy to Radley Lakes. Please bring your own packed lunch, a drink and wear suitable clothes for the weather.
