This workshop aims to prepare participants for their future independent landscape watercolour painting through a tutored studio practice. We will start with perspective exercises before moving on to architectural drawing and painting of objects and compositions. In the final piece, we will focus on realistically accurate and aesthetically pleasing rendering of still-life compositions in watercolour, including complex, man-made objects such as a piece of vintage furniture or a mechanical device. The rendering of which will provide the skills needed for other subject matter.
