A large wooden-handled palette knife in the shape of the one pictured below.

Canvas

46cm x 61cm (or something similar in size – doesn’t have to be exact) ready stretched and primed.

Sundries

Wooden palette 30cm x 40cm. For home made palettes please seal with linseed oil.

Linseed oil and odourless white spirit or low odour turpentine

Large jar (mayonnaise / jam size) with lid.

Small dish for linseed oil

Good quality kitchen roll

Small bottle of ‘Zest-It’

A few cotton rags.

Charcoal (medium thickness)

Sheet of sandpaper (medium or fine)
